Welcome to Japan Little Delights!
This is a blog by a Japanese mom living in Japan who enjoys everyday life.
On this blog, you’ll find my real-life experiences — from visiting cafés and restaurants to exploring scenic spots, seasonal events, and hidden gems across Japan.
What Inspired Me to Share My Experiences
The reason I decided to start this website was a blog run by a mother like me, sharing her experiences from a faraway part of Japan. Unfortunately, that blog is no longer accessible, but it had very engaging content. While managing childcare and household duties, she also shared moments of traveling with her children, enjoying delicious food, and enjoying fashion and shopping.
Since I also have children, I couldn’t go out as freely as I wanted. But when I read that blog, it felt as if another version of myself were enjoying life in a different place. I repeatedly visited that blog, felt a strong sense of connection, and found little hope for the future. I hope this blog can give the same sense of connection to readers who want to feel connected to Japan through real experiences, even if Japan feels far away right now, and to people who are interested in Japanese culture and everyday life from a local perspective.
Experiencing Japan
The purpose of this blog is simple: to share my personal experiences and discoveries so that readers can feel as if they are traveling through Japan from anywhere in the world, and find inspiration for their own trips, just as I do. Real-life experiences are what I enjoy sharing.
These include tasting dishes made with seasonal ingredients and meals that reflect the changing seasons. Beautiful temples and shrines are another part of my explorations. Seasonal customs add richness to everyday life.
