After our smooth Shinkansen ride from Tokyo, my mother and I arrived in Karuizawa and headed straight to lunch at Kagaribi, a restaurant at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa. The bright, open seating made a lovely first impression, and soon the dishes arrived.
