In mid-May, just before the rainy season, I spent half a day exploring Shinjuku Central Park and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Shinjuku Central Park has fresh greenery, small restaurants, the historic Juniso Kumano Shrine, and a charming flower garden.
